When Your Manhood Is Challenged…

It started simply as a debate:  “Who can have the most sex”.

Calvin Bernard Hill, 54, and another man, sitting in the back of a PT Cruiser on Sunday night were having this discussion, when it turned more into an argument, then it became an altercation.

At some point, as a female was driving the car, Hill and the unnamed victim got into a fight in the back seat and resulted in the latter being stabbed in the ribs.  The driver took the man to the hospital where he was found to be bleeding profusely, and told police (oddly one named “Captain Morgan”) that Hill had thrown the knife out the car window because he couldn’t afford to “go down for this”.

Hill told the police that the victim had actually “stabbed himself” and that he wasn’t involved.

Hill was arrested and held on $10,000 bond.

The Dangers of Ouija

A 15 year old Texas teen has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after stabbing his friend in the gut in the woods behind a Weslaco, TX high school.

The teen used a 4 inch knife to stab the 14 year old, but his claim is that a Ouija board instructed him to rid himself of his problems and that the friend was the cause of them.  Police claim that the assailant really believed that the board had given him the advice and after stabbing him took him to a nearby store for help.  A third teen that had seen the event told police the boy told the victim to tell that he’d “fallen on the knife” as an excuse.

The victim spent several days in the hospital, but survived the attack.

The accused has no previous history of criminal or mental problems, but he does now.

Hate Uncle? Kill Grandma.

Jasper Aristotle Smiddie, 19, didn’t just murder his grandma, he put a serious amount of effort into the task.

After originally plotting to kill an uncle he was upset with, Smiddie decided that killing his grandmother would be an even greater punishment.  Thinking the uncle would have to live with the death of the grandmother, Smiddie hatched a plan.

Smiddie killed 67 year old Gloria Helfrich first by shooting her in the head with a crossbow, then stabbing her 93 times and then beating her body with a pipe wrench.  He claims to have blacked out and awoken two hours later with blood all over his body.  He then locked the door to the bedroom her body was in, went downstairs and waited for the uncle to come home.  Smiddie then ate dinner and watched TV with the uncle who was clueless that his own mothers was upstairs and dead.

Smiddie was arrested the next day by his girlfriend’s home after calling his own father, who lives in Tampa, to tell him what he’d done.  He was charged with first degree murder.

Golf Course Death Match

At a posh golf course outside of Ft. Worth, TX 48 year old Clay Carpenter is recovering from an altercation that almost cost him his life and still may cost him a leg.

Over the weekend Carpenter was part of a threesome that was behind a foursome that was going slow, and the course marshal had instructed the faster group to play through.

When the threesome, including Carpenter, began to play through that is when things, “turned ugly” and a full out brawl began.  As the fight went on Carpenter claims he was on top of another man when he was stabbed in the leg with a golf shaft.  The severity of the injury was immediately noticeable as a when he stood up the blood was “spurting” and flowing from his groin area and described like a “leaky faucet”.

A 9-11 call from a man in the other group claimed, “He fell on a golf club or something,” the caller says. “He’s passed out once already. We’ve got his artery clamped with our hand.”  But Carpenter contends that the man that stabbed him first swung at his head with the club, then broke off the end before stabbing him in the leg with it.  He says his assailant was not willing to let them play through as instructed and refused to, “defuse anything”.

Carpenter worries that the blood loss will result in an amputation of his leg because there already has been extensive tissue loss.  “I’ll never be able to lift my feet up again,” Carpenter said. “I’ve run full marathons, and I’ll never be a runner again. I’ve lost the ability to properly use my leg. I’ll have to use a brace on this right leg forever.”

He does not know the name of the attacker and there are no reports if he was arrested or will be charged with anything.
