The KickAround is simply about talking soccer and all that implies.
Andy & Peter bring the Dallas area perspective of the game, but in a way familiar to The Ticket. The show gives sanctuary to the segment of the true Ticket P1 who also love soccer. Now, after 20 years, a place for them is found on Saturdays, 2-4.

Peter Welpton is a life long soccer fan with a 25 year radio career and somehow lucked into mixing the two into this weekly production. He has a real job, but spends his free time playing, writing and talking about soccer. (Dirty secret: the only reason he’s really doing this is to get an invite to Sturm’s annual English soccer trip)
Andy Swift is a soccer lifer who began his professional career as a TV reporter covering “futbol” before tackling management positions with the Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas), Major League Soccer, Dallas Cup, and FIFA. When taking time off from his soccer gigs, he spends too much time over-managing his Diamond Mind Baseball computer Geek-Ball league team.

This is the one where Andy returns from vacation to tell tails of eating haggis (yuck). It’s also a therapy session for all USMNT fans on the heels of the 3-0 smushing by Mexico and their long awaited review of “Take Us Home” – the Leeds/Bielsa doc.
This is the one where Will Parchman (@WillParchman), of The Athletic, sits in for Andy – who’s somewhere eating weird food and not going to the Old Firm Derby. The power of Will’s soccer brain is on full display as he and Peter talk about the weekend’s PL action, the USMNT call-ups and stuff.
This is the one where Andy wallows in his glee that ManU lost, at home, to Palace. They also welcome Dan Crooke’s insight into the odd going-on’s with Bury and Bolton and how that might related to how the sport is structured here, stateside. Plus some FCD and their initial thoughts on the long awaited Leeds docu-series on Prime.
This is the one where Andy & Peter broadcast LIVE from Turning Point Beer in Bedford. Lots of discussion about the “deja vu” ending to MCITOT and a discussion of the rest of the day’s Week 2 action. Plus Buzz joins the guys live and the world’s first edition of “Ask You Anything – in Person”. #Goodtimes
This is the one where Andy & Peter dive into the opening of the new Premier League season and the immediate drama and discussion with the arrival of VAR. Plus a look at the FCD transfer window and Zlatan’s MLS bashing.
This is the one where Andy & Peter preview the upcoming Premier League season, featuring Bob Sturm and Jeff Catlin. And a full segment on the important of Pulisic’s Chelsea adventure. Plus, their annual death-defying PREDICTIONS!!
This is the one that happened just days before the start of another Premier League season, so the guys talk up the big transfers that have and have yet to happen. Plus a primer on all of the subscription options for where and how to watch soccer online and on TV this fall. A new segment, “MLS Poké” and we say goodbye to TimK, producer of the show.
This is the one where Andy & Peter fall victim of spreading transfer window rumors, try to explain to everyone what to expect with the new rule changes and discuss the ever growing and obvious gap forming between various MLS sides.
This is the one where Andy & Peter attempt a historic, new radio bit – “Ask YOU anything”, and if getting to hear from Chet for the 1st time since the birth of little “AndyPeter” is all we got, it was worth it. Plus “The Zlatan Segment” and we remind you if paying $$$ for ICC matches is worth it.
This is the one where Andy & Peter – despite it literally being the deadest of all the days for soccer – manage to stuff a two hour show with world-class, top-notch soccer talking.
