‘The Hunger Games’ Gets a Trailer
The Hunger Games is a series of books I have never read, but the hype surrounding the March 2012 release of the first movie has certainly caught my attention. Now it has a trailer and it looks really intriguing.
Here’s a synopsis of the story I found online:
Games is based on the Suzanne Collins novels that set the young adult world on fire with their dystopian, kid-versus-kid deatch match plotlines laced with social satire, sadness, emotion — and yes, a love triangle of sorts. Katniss, the book’s narrator and main character, volunteered to take her sister Prim’s place in the fight-to-the-death Hunger Games, which paired her up with fellow District 12 resident Peeta. While the two form the type of bond and love that can only come with being in combat together, Katniss’ heart still belongs to her close friend Gale, played by Liam Hemsworth in the film.
Lots of weird names, kinda a Running Man premise, but with kids (pretty kids at that) and Lenny Kravitz!
